On the evening of October 2, 2014, Moseley Construction Group took home the Associated General Contractor Award in the ‘Renovation Under $150 Million’ category. The awarded project was the Crystal Plaza lobby renovation.
The unification of this Project required high end customized millwork, carpentry, paint finishes, wall coverings, stone, tile, Terrazzo Restoration, HVAC and electrical coordination. Moseley Construction Group achieved the design requirements while creating an aesthetically pleasing yet functional atmosphere. Moseley’s knowledge and experience combined with our quality design services allowed us to accommodate both the clients requirements and to provide a unified finished product.
Moseley constructed a Master project Critical Path Method (CPM) Schedule in which all design, procurement, construction milestones and closeout activities were outlined to ensure this project’s success. Our project team successfully completed this project using a cadre of highly qualified subcontractors under the guidance of the Project Manager and the direct supervision of our on-site Superintendent. Moseley provided coordination of numerous trade subcontractors during the construction of this build out, to include coordination of the owner’s vendors. In addition, we utilized the Timberline software to manage all aspects of the construction project, including: NTP’s, contracts, RFI’s, submittals, meeting minutes and maintenance and warranty information. The vendors, weekly progress meetings and our knowledgeable project management team allowed us to successfully manage this project from start to finish and complete the project on schedule and within budget.
The owner was extremely impressed with Moseley Construction’s ability to efficiently construct this project so as not to disrupt the day to day operations of the existing apartment building activities. This required very careful orchestrations of where and when Moseley Construction Group could perform all the necessary work to completely renovate the Lobby and amenity areas of the building to Include: Lobby, offices, lounge, fitness room, game room, business center, corridors and elevator cabs.
Moseley’s Perfect safety record was maintained with absolutely no injuries sustained while working on this project. Moseley Safety Program includes outside safety inspections, tool box talks and individual safety meetings prior to the start of any specialized work, and AHA’s (Hazard Activity Analysis). Our continued commitment to this program allows us to provide a safe working environment for all construction personnel, residents and staff on our project sites.
